Sie sagten, sie h\u00e4tten es getestet und eine Reparatur sei notwendig. Sie reparierten es und schickten es zur\u00fcck. Es tut immer noch dasselbe wie vorher, also wurde es offenbar nicht repariert, aber mir wurde trotzdem $532,00 in Rechnung gestellt. <\/span>My Evinrude E-Tec 50 \/ 2014, driven only less than 150h, started signalling \"Check Engine\". The test program showed \"Injectors voltage over 55V\".
Found Hardware Care and on theis homepage I could insert the type and \"serialnumber\" of my EMM with the explanation of the trouble.
The positive resonse was immediate and I sent the EMM to them with the required documents from my research on their home page.
The continuing input on my e-mail on the progress of the repair was very satisfying and after ca 3 weeks a detailled information on the found failure and successfull repair arrived. After clearing the invoice the package arrived in only two days at my dor.
Due to winterly conditions here in 'Finland (Jan 2025) I have not yet had the possibiliy to check the engine in real life but I do believe it will work perfectly.

Vorher kam ein Fehlercode f\u00fcr \"55 Volt Circuit ABOVE Range\", wenn der Motor im Leerlauf war. Das EMM zeigte 12 Volt an, und der Stator hatte die richtigen Ohm-Werte. Also war das EMM defekt. Ich fand Hardware Care und schickte das EMM dorthin. Sie reparierten es und schickten es zur\u00fcck. Ich bekam mein EMM schneller zur\u00fcck als angek\u00fcndigt. Hardware Care hat das Problem, das ich hatte, behoben (EMM gibt keine Ladespannung\/Ampere aus). Beim Testen stellte ich fest, dass Zylinder Nummer 6 nicht z\u00fcndete. Glenn von Hardware care war sehr entgegenkommend und versuchte herauszufinden, was dieses neue Problem verursachte, und lie\u00df mich das EMM zum Testen zur\u00fcckschicken. <\/span>Mein Evinrude Etec 50hp fiel komplett aus, und das Problem wurde auf einen Ausfall des Motormanagementsystems (EMM) zur\u00fcckgef\u00fchrt, das sowohl komplex als auch teuer in der Reparatur oder im Austausch ist. Ein paar Bekannte, die bereits Erfahrung mit solchen Ausf\u00e4llen hatten, empfahlen Hardware Care in den Niederlanden als die vielleicht weltweit f\u00fchrende Autorit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Evinrude EMM-Diagnose und -Reparatur. Nach einem kurzen E-Mail-Austausch mit Sam wurde die Abholung per DPD arrangiert. Ich kann nur empfehlen, sowohl die Abholung als auch die R\u00fccksendung von ihnen organisieren zu lassen, was sehr effizient und kosteng\u00fcnstig ist, insbesondere nach dem Brexit, wenn die Ein- und Ausfuhr ein Problem darstellen kann. Die Vorlaufzeit f\u00fcr Reparaturen betr\u00e4gt ein paar Wochen, da sie sehr besch\u00e4ftigt sind, und es gab einen Schluckauf in diesem Prozess, weil festgestellt wurde, dass mein EMM \u00fcber die Reparatur hinaus besch\u00e4digt war, wobei die Ursache unbekannt war. Offensichtlich ist dies eine Seltenheit, und um ehrlich zu sein, waren die automatischen E-Mail-Antworten von Hardware Care in solchen F\u00e4llen etwas d\u00fcrftig. Wenn jedoch Fehler auftreten, ist es ein Zeichen f\u00fcr ein gutes Unternehmen, wie sie darauf reagieren, und auf meine Probleme hin haben sie einen detaillierten Plan erstellt, wie sie ihre Antworten in solchen F\u00e4llen \u00fcberarbeiten werden... sehr beeindruckend. Sie hielten ihr Wort und nachdem ich ihnen die relevante .edf-Datei und einen fr\u00fcheren Service-Diagnosebericht geschickt hatte (wenn m\u00f6glich, stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie diese Daten haben, das spart Zeit und zus\u00e4tzliche Kosten!), programmierten sie ein \u00fcberholtes Ger\u00e4t neu und schickten es zeitnah zur\u00fcck. Um es kurz zu machen, bauten wir das \u00fcberholte EMM ein, und zu unserer Freude startete der Etec auf Anhieb, ohne dass die Probleme auftraten, die bei seinem Ausfall aufgetreten waren. Hardware Care f\u00fcgte auch ein Etec-Service-Diagnosekabel hinzu, damit ich die relevante Datei herunterladen und die drei Etec-Ger\u00e4te, die ich besitze, an meinen Laptop anschlie\u00dfen konnte - als Entschuldigung und Dankesch\u00f6n. Alles in allem w\u00fcrde ich Hardware Care sehr empfehlen, die einen freundlichen, professionellen und garantierten Service bieten und meinen Au\u00dfenborder zu einer erheblichen Ersparnis gegen\u00fcber einem neuen EMM repariert haben, falls man \u00fcberhaupt einen bekommen kann. <\/span>The repair service is much easier, less expensive, and quicker than I'd expected. Our 2017 Evinrude Etec 40 hp motor's EMM went out from California to the Netherlands 12\/28\/23 and returned 1\/31\/23. Total cost including shipping was under $700. Installing the repaired EMM is much easier than installing a used EMM and matched injectors, which we did previously for expediency, and less than 2\/3 the cost.

The service is very professional and very attentive to detail. They did a really neat job on the repair and the EMM seems to be functioning as well as it did when the engine was new, with all the injector coefficients and history that it had before the repair. They were very kind to answer questions about whether we could damage the EMM by coil shorting (not likely).

The motor's EMM is unfortunately a major Achilles heel for it, and it's good to know that it can be repaired fairly easily, at a reasonable cost, and without months of downtime. It may seem a hassle to ship to the Netherlands, but it sure beats being talked into a new motor, which is a likely outcome since the maker is no longer supporting the motor.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span>Because of the difference in time, some communications from me got there when they were asleep! None the less they responded to each of my many questions over the last 4 Months. The time was extended understandably due to the holidays and other technical issues. Once the decision was made to de-vulcanize the unit, it was tested, diagnosed, repaired, re-vulcanized, and shipped all within a matter of days. Even though the weather here in Tampa Bay was miserable on the Friday I took delivery of the unit, I couldn't wait for daylight to come so I could race to the marina to reinstall the unit. I secured the unit, turned the key and she started instantly. The unit didn't throw the code 19 low voltage code for my 2007 250 ETEC 640 hours. I let the engine run for 15-20 minutes and the never did the engine in question go out of spec. Great service, great communication, great work and great pricing when compared to the on-shore services. I clearly to was bit skeptical about sending my unit to the Netherlands. Would I ever see it again, will it be lost to the black market ether? Trust me, if you are having issues w your EMM and don't want to drop $2K + on a new unit, connect with Hardware Care 1st. You will be satisfied. Well worth the wait!

<\/span>I was very pleased when i found out that it was possible to let my ECU fixed for a third of the cost of a new one, and also in the Netherlands, were i live.
When you send your ECU in they send you updates about the progress but expect 6 to 8 weeks.
I have nt installed mine yet but it looks great and as soon i have some time and good weather i will.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ich habe zwei EMMs f\u00fcr meinen 2000er 225-PS-Ficht reparieren lassen, einen habe ich behalten und f\u00fcr meinen privaten Motor verwendet. Er funktioniert besser als neu. Das andere habe ich an einen Dritten verkauft, und die Mitarbeiter halfen bei der Neuprogrammierung des EMM f\u00fcr den K\u00e4ufer, damit es zu dem Motor passt, f\u00fcr den er es gekauft hat, und das \u00fcber den erforderlichen Service hinaus!<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span>Found Hardware Care online as there is nobody offering anything like this service here in the UK. They organised a courier and customs clearance and the whole thing was just super easy. Took a bit longer than expected but that could well have been because of the time of year (Christmas). Once the repair was completed I paid the bill and my EMM was on its way back. Make sure you keep a copy of your paperwork because the customs clearance department of DHL lost track of the details of my parcel, but once I forwarded them the original documents, then everything was cleared through customs and back on track.
Received EMM the next day and plugged it in to find it worked perfectly.
The only thing that Hardware Care could possibly do to make their service even better, would be to maybe include a few details about the hours run etc in a printout. This would be a useful addition ?.
Very happy with Hardware Care and would have no problem recommending them 110%

Just wanted to do a quick update as I feel its really important.
The day I added my feedback, I was emailed by Hardware Care. They told me that they already had plans to do as I had suggested, regarding the data printout, and that if they sorted their system in time, I may be lucky and they would still have my data. Well guess what!? I WAS lucky and recieved an entire engine diagnostic printout within a couple of days!! AMAZING!! This has made my (already brilliant) Hardware Care experience unbeatable.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span>My Evinrude 40HP was blowing its fuse, narrowed down to the EMM. Their web site had all the right options, with one for blown fuse, which was encouraging. I chose to have them organise shipping, as it is fraught with issues (US product from UK to NL for repair), so they did all the right paperwork and courier collection. They say a couple of months and that was how long it took! Their price as was good, but the courier costs and VAT did push it up alot. They responded to emails - my UK bank was very suspicious of a NL payment and would not process the first attempt, so we had to start again.
