Sending your EMM from the US
Posting the only EMM you own to a workshop 4,000 miles away gives people pause. Here is what actually happens.
- Shipping
-
No customs hassle. DHL Express collects at your door and brings it back, typically 2–3 business days each way. We book it and do the paperwork.
- Across the ocean
-
Tracked and insured both ways, on our DHL account. If anything goes wrong in transit, the claim is ours to chase, not yours.
- What you pay
-
€532 or €596, plus shipping and card fees. E-TEC 40–90 HP is €532, E-TEC 115–300 HP and Ficht €596, fixed before we start. No EU VAT outside the EU. Shipping is quoted for your address before you commit.
- If it can't be repaired
-
You pay nothing for the repair. Only the shipping, at cost. A unit that tests completely fine: €175.
- Warranty
-
24 months on every repair. Double the 12 months BRP gives on a new module.
- Talk to us
-
Before you ship, and all the way through. A call before anything leaves, answers while we work, and your own tracking page once the module is here. We work in English all day; our afternoon is your morning.

DHL Express, both ways
DHL Express collects the EMM at your door and brings it back repaired. From outside the EU it travels on our account and we prepare the customs papers.
How shipping works -
If we can't fix it, you don't pay for the repair
We bench-test the unit and tell you plainly whether it can be repaired. If it is beyond repair, the attempt costs you nothing and you pay only the shipping, at cost.

Why Dr Evinrude sends his EMMs to us
Johan de Konink, known as Dr Evinrude, is an independent Evinrude specialist. From his own workshop he helps Ficht and E-TEC owners all over the world with the mechanical side of their engines. When a job comes down to the EMM or the electronics, he works with us. In his own words:
Our collaboration is unique: I focus on the mechanical side, while they specialize in the electronic brain. We are in constant communication to get people back on the water as quickly as possible. I test EMM modules on real engines under full load out on the water and report my findings back to them. In return, I supply mechanical parts for their highly advanced test rigs.
