Why send your EMM to Hardware Care?

We repair Evinrude E-TEC and Ficht EMMs in our workshop in Nieuwkuijk, the Netherlands, and test every unit under load before it goes back.

  • 24 months on every repair

If an EMM we repaired stops working within two years, we put it right at no extra cost and send it back by DHL Express. BRP gives 12 months on a new module.

    Read the warranty terms
  • DHL Express, both ways

DHL Express collects the EMM at your door and brings it back repaired. From outside the EU it travels on our account and we prepare the customs papers.

    How shipping works
  • If we can't fix it, you don't pay for the repair

We bench-test the unit and tell you plainly whether it can be repaired. If it is beyond repair, the attempt costs you nothing and you pay only the shipping, at cost.

How no cure, no pay works

Fast, kept well informed, fixed the issue. Had to pay VAT charge when importing back to the UK which I hadn't factored into the costs, but still better value than a new one.

Why Dr Evinrude sends his EMMs to us

Johan de Konink, known as Dr Evinrude, is an independent Evinrude specialist. From his own workshop he helps Ficht and E-TEC owners all over the world with the mechanical side of their engines. When a job comes down to the EMM or the electronics, he works with us. In his own words:

Our collaboration is unique: I focus on the mechanical side, while they specialize in the electronic brain. We are in constant communication to get people back on the water as quickly as possible. I test EMM modules on real engines under full load out on the water and report my findings back to them. In return, I supply mechanical parts for their highly advanced test rigs.
