Evinrude E-TEC
40 HP 60 HP

Unlock the full rated output your engine block was built for. We reflash the EMM to the 60 HP version, no engine work, no new parts.

Water valve required, not every 40 HP qualifies

The 60 HP variant runs the cooling circuit harder, so a thermostatic water valve has to be fitted. We do not install it for you, you fit it yourself on the engine, but we can supply the correct part. Eligibility also depends on your specific block: not every 40 HP can step up to 60.

+20 HP

Same block, different label

The 40 and 60 HP E-TEC share the same hardware, but the 60 HP runs the engine harder. To handle the extra heat load, the cooling circuit on the 60 HP variant needs a thermostatic water valve that the 40 HP does not have. We supply the correct valve so the engine runs at the correct operating temperature at full load.

Your exact eligibility depends on your specific EMM part number — send it with the form and we confirm it before anything is booked.

From your boat to 60 HP in 4 steps

1

Check eligibility

Send us your EMM part number through the form below. We confirm your block supports the 60 HP within hours.

2

Get your cables

A remote tune needs a diagnostic and a bootstrap cable and a Windows laptop at the boat. Use your own or buy the kit from us, and we send it out ahead of the session.

3

Tuned live at your dock

At a time that suits you, you are at the boat and we connect and reflash your EMM to the 60 HP live, usually in under an hour. It never leaves the boat.

4

Full power, same session

Reconnect and run, it is fully plug and play. And it is real power: your engine now delivers the full 60 HP, not just a different number on the display.

Rather send it in? Mail-in works worldwide by DHL Express and is typically back in the post within about three days of arriving. Pick remote or mail-in on the form below.

Fast, kept well informed, fixed the issue. Had to pay VAT charge when importing back to the UK which I hadn't factored into the costs, but still better value than a new one.
