Sending hardware halfway across the world to a workshop you have never met is a leap of faith. We take the financial risk off the table: if your EMM turns out to be beyond repair, the repair attempt itself costs you nothing.
Four steps from your dock to a repaired EMM
Ship to us
You ship your EMM to Nieuwkuijk, usually via DHL Express, which we can arrange on your behalf.
We diagnose
We bench-test the unit, identify the root cause, and give you a clear yes-or-no on repairability.
We repair (if fixable)
If we can fix it, we do, at the fixed price published for your part number, tested under load before it leaves.
You only pay if it worked
If the unit is genuinely beyond repair, we charge nothing for the repair attempt itself.
No surprises, no creative billing
No bill for a write-off
If your EMM turns out to be beyond repair, you don't pay for the diagnosis or the repair attempt. The one exception: a unit that tests completely fine carries a €175 diagnostic fee.
No "we tried" charges
Some workshops bill for hours regardless of outcome. We don't.
You always get an answer
Fixable, write-off, or simply fine, you'll get a straight verdict on your EMM, never a vague maybe.
We help you move forward
If your unit turns out to be beyond saving, we'll put in the effort to help you get back on the water.
A few practical things to know
"No cure, no pay" covers the repair work itself. A couple of practical exceptions:
Shipping is separate
Outbound and return DHL charges are billed at cost, we can't recover those if the repair fails.
Unrepairable units
If you want a beyond-repair EMM shipped back to you (as a core or for documentation), return shipping is at your cost. Otherwise we recycle it responsibly.
Pre-existing damage
If a unit arrives with obvious tampering, undisclosed water damage, or signs of a previous home repair we'll be in touch before doing any work, no surprise charges.
EMMs that test fine
If we test your EMM and it turns out not to be faulty, we charge a €175 diagnostic fee to cover the bench time. The fault is then somewhere else on the boat, we'll tell you so you can chase it.
Because most EMMs really are fixable.
After 8+ years and a thousand-plus EMMs through the workshop, we have a very good idea of what's fixable before the unit even arrives. The vast majority turn out to be repairable, which means the no-cure-no-pay promise costs us very little in practice, the units we save comfortably cover the few that turn out to be beyond saving.
